Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price, and it's one of the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time. You'll have a a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You can, for example request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that are required, such as emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop come with plenty of running time and the mop is capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you look at all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've examined, but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and has just three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is a pity considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customised and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective options available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush that allows it to reach difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to access low-profile furniture which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Unlike some other robots that solely focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. robotvacuummops can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it an ideal option for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you make these settings or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has many features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is well designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
